Below is a list of the bosses you’ll encounter in order, along with images and when you’ll meet them.
Scroll carefully to avoid spoilers!

The first boss you’ll encounter is Scorpion Sentinel in Chapter 1 – The Destruction of Mako Reactor 1.

Here are some quick tips for your encounter:

  • Make use of Barret’s long-range attacks when the Sentinel gets jumpy.
  • Use regeneration item or healing spells while you’re hiding in the second phase of the fight.

The second boss fight is with Roche (Motorcycle) in Chapter 4 – Mad Dash.

Quick Tips for fighting Roche (motorcycle):

  • Don’t forget to use targeting with L1 and Triangle to perform long-range attacks
  • Give yourself plenty of space to dodge attacks
  • Use speed to your advantage when trying to dodge attacks by either slowing down or speeding up at the right time

This time Roche is off his bike and ready to fight a more grounded duel in Chapter 4 – Mad Dash. This counts as your third boss fight in FF7 Remake.

  • Lean into using Punisher Mode
  • Use Focused Thrust to Stagger him

The Crab Warden is the fourth boss you’ll encounter in Chapter 5 – Dogged Pursuit.

Airbuster is the fifth boss in FF7 Remake. You’ll encounter it in Chapter 7 – A Trap Is Sprung.

Quick tips for fighting Airbuster:

  • Lightning Materia is a must for your party
  • Barret’s Lifesaver, HP Up Materia, and Steelskin are highly recommended

  • He has no weaknesses

Hell yeah, Hell House is back, and this time the weirdly awesome enemy is a boss. The eighth boss, to be exact. You’ll encounter Hell House in Chapter 9 – The Town That Never Sleeps.

Quick tips for fighting Hell House:

  • Physical attacks are a waste of time
  • Assess can help you check the element currently in play, or you can look at the windows

The ninth boss in FF7 Remake is Abzu. You’ll find it in Chapter 10 – Rough Waters.

  • Keep ATB charges in reserve if you’re having trouble dodging attacks
  • Summon ASAP

  • Stop attacking the boss and destroy the Pyramid as soon as it appears.
